If you have visited our beautiful, expansive beaches, you probably already know us. If you are new to Hilton Head Island, explore the 
beaches with us. Located between Charleston, South Carolina to the north and Savannah, Georgia to the south, Hilton Head Island is blessed with the safest waters on the east coast. Gentle sloping beaches and offshore sandbars create very calm surf conditions with water temperatures in the mid-eighties during the summer months.
Established in 1974, Shore Beach Service provides lifeguards, beach patrol, and surf patrol for the beaches of Hilton Head Island, while also being responsible for beach cleanliness. We also provide the rentals of umbrellas, chairs, body boards, sailboats and beach cycles at numerous locations throughout the 13.5 miles of beach on the island.
Shore Beach Service has been a member of the South Atlantic region of the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) since 1989 and a Certifying Agency of the USLA for Open Water Lifeguarding since 1995. Shore is also a Charter Member of the Professional Beach Service Association (PBSA).
